NetNewsWire Review

Shawn Blanc posted a great, in-depth review of NetNewsWire, a popular RSS Reader for Mac.

I’ve been using NetNewsWire Lite basically since I first started following blogs via RSS and since I first made the big “switch” to Mac — i.e. about 4 years. I recently shelled out a small sum of cash and upgraded from NetNewsWire Lite to the full-featured NetNewsWire and have been highly enjoying the ability to sync my feeds across several computers via NetNewsWire’s NewsGator feed syncing. In fact, I’ve ditched Google Reader completely as NewsGator’s iPhone interface far surpassed Google (although I’ve heard Google Reader’s iPhone interface has improved) and it now syncs with my favorite RSS program.

The best feature of NetNewsWire is it’s simple [ spacebar ] navigation. Simply hit space to go to the next unread article, then ht space again to page down in that article… once you’ve reached the end simple hit space to move onto the next. It makes catching up on your favorite feeds a cinch.

Make sure to check out Shawn’s highly detailed review for more.
