What happens when you are missing one of the necessary elements for executing change?
It is useful in identifying the reactions people are having to the change process and to understand why those reactions occurred.
From there, one can consider what will need to be done to get a derailed change strategy back on track.
Change is a great thing, and thanks to great changers such as Martin Luther, religion does not have to remain in the traditions of the past. However, improperly prepared change can be a vice between the parties involved.
I have been on both sides of this coin - as attempting to lead change without incentive or vision or resources, as well as feeling resistance, confusion, and frustration when someone else does the same. What’s worse is division, the church’s great enemy, that all badly implemented change can cause.
This chart creates a good checklist to prepare for change before execution to help ensure all parties are on the same page.
