The closest book to me was one I’m currently reading as recommended by my pastor (it was at my feet in my InCase Laptop Bag). Ironically this quote from the book sums up the title quite nicely.
(I’ve been a churchgoer almost thirty years, and I’m still not wild about holding hands with another guy, especially one I barely know.) And certain churches are hug-rich environments. It’s one thing for very close friends to embrace, but in some congregations it’s customary for relative trangers to enfold.

Upon tagging for a meme, an email would be fabulous! I haven’t been keeping up on my feeds… only just noticed the link to my site. I’ll post mine soon - great meme, by the way!
And yeah, my Groom has similar complaints. I may have to get him that book. Actually he loves church, and even the friendliness isn’t a big deal… it’s the singing that gets him (he’s originally Catholic). Me, I feel weird getting on my knees 5-8 times in unison throughout a mass and not being able to take communion, but that’s a whole other issue. :)
