I love the colors. What is the font used for the “nothing new” text? How’d you do those textures?

The Nothing New text is done with a combination of “Selfish” and “Porcelain” both of which are fonts from the excellent resource – Misprinted Type. Also several filters were applied to several layers of both and there are various other “curly” fonts used in overlay mode in the background – about 15 layers just for that text and it’s surrounding. I was trying to get it to fit into the painting kind of look that the rest of the piece has.
The textures were created from various stock photos found at another excellent resource – stock.xchng. There are a couple of excellent photos of just brush strokes which can look really sweet when you apply the right layer modes.
Also I wanted the stars in space to have more of an artsy feel to them so instead of just creating them with brushes/noise or finding some space stock photography, I found a really sweet stock photo of air bubbles under water – a couple of little filter and image adjustments and wah lah – space!

Jesse,
You’re amazing! That looks really good….. it’s astounding how many layers go into something like that. I love the font(s). Good job!
